چکیده

Abstract We set up an Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet theory in four dimensions, based on the recent formulation of pure gravity with extra dimensions vanishing metrical length [1]. In absence torsion, effective field equations depend only four-metric, reflecting a quadratic curvature nonlinearity but no higher than second order derivatives. contrast proposals to obtain 4dEGB theories through singular rescaling Gauss-Bonnet coupling, this formalism requires (classical) regularization divergences and is inequivalent Horndeski gravity, while being generally covariant independent compactification. Notably, vacuum admit FLRW cosmologies containing nonsingular bounce self-accelerating Universe, spherically symmetric black holes more general Schwarzschild. The emerging here shown be preserved against inclusion Lovelock densities 5+2 n dimensions.

Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet Gravity with Dilaton

We obtain cosmological solutions which admit emergent universe (EU) scenario in the framework of Einstein Gauss-Bonnet gravity coupled with a dilaton field in four dimensions. The coupling parameter of the Gauss-Bonnet terms and the dilaton in the theory are determined for obtaining an EU scenario. The corresponding dilaton potential which admits such scenario is determined. It is found that th...

Phase space of modified Gauss–Bonnet gravity

We investigate the evolution of non-vacuum Friedmann-Lemaître-Robertson-Walker (FLRW) spacetimes with any spatial curvature in the context of Gauss-Bonnet gravity. The analysis employs a new method which enables us to explore the phase space of any specific theory of this class. We consider several examples, discussing the transition from a decelerating into an acceleration universe within thes...

Hamilton–Jacobi counterterms for Einstein–Gauss–Bonnet gravity

The on-shell gravitational action and the boundary stress tensor are essential ingredients in the study of black hole thermodynamics. We employ the Hamilton–Jacobi method to calculate the boundary counterterms necessary to remove the divergences and allow the study of the thermodynamics of Einstein–Gauss–Bonnet black holes. Radiating black hole solutions in Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity

In this paper, we find some new exact solutions to the Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet equations. First, we prove a theorem which allows us to find a large family of solutions to the Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity in n-dimensions. This family of solutions represents dynamic black holes and contains, as particular cases, not only the recently found Vaidya-Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet black hole, but also other ph...

Magnetic Branes in Gauss-Bonnet Gravity

We present two new classes of magnetic brane solutions in Einstein-MaxwellGauss-Bonnet gravity with a negative cosmological constant. The first class of solutions yields an (n + 1)-dimensional spacetime with a longitudinal magnetic field generated by a static magnetic brane. We also generalize this solution to the case of spinning magnetic branes with one or more rotation parameters. We find th...
